From the importance of natural materials to the manufacture in the best workshops, from the upgrading of our products to recycling solutions, Bonsoirs has been committed since its creation.

95% natural materials

We bring a daily requirement in the selection and traceability of our raw materials which are made from 95% natural fibers. The remaining 5% are made from recycled fibers since we do not use any material from the petrochemical industry.

95% natural materials

More than 9 out of 10 products are certified by the strictest labels on the market (OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, GOTS®, European Flax®, etc.).

Lasting links with the best workshops

Selected for their know-how and the quality of their products, but also on environmental and social criteria, we carefully choose each of our partners, most of whom have been with us since our beginnings. We deal directly and without intermediaries with production managers and we are committed throughout the year to ensure a regular production rate.

Lasting links with the best workshops

3/4 of our products are made in France and Portugal, in particular our bed linen and our bedding.

The upgrading of our products
Goal: Zero waste

Scraps of fabric, (rare) defective products, customer returns... We recycle as soon as we can! And it starts with production with our partner We Turn, which recovers our production scraps and transforms them into recycled raw materials… then reused to create new eco-designed clothing and textile products. A real virtuous circle.

The upgrading of our products
Goal: Zero waste

More than 7000 fabric scraps have been collected since the beginning of our partnership with We Turn!

We did it !
The first 100% recycled towel

Last spring, you sent us the towels you no longer wanted. Sorted by color then shredded according to the rules of the art, the material thus obtained was then re-woven to create the very first 100% recycled towel ! The circle is complete.

No, and we want to be transparent on the issue: it is for this reason that the place of manufacture is indicated on all our product sheets. We select our workshops as a priority for their know-how, while favoring nearby manufacturing areas. Thus, our bed linen in Percale and Cotton Sateen is made in France, just like our bedding because we are recognized worldwide for this know-how. On the other hand, our washed linen sheets and our Baby & Child bed linen are made in one of the oldest Portuguese workshops, an expert for more than a hundred years in this material. Our bath linen is made in Turkey, because it is THE country that made the Hammam famous and where towels have been made since the 7th century.

Since our beginnings, we have implemented a traceability system in order to know the origin of our materials and provide you with ever greater transparency. As you know, France does not produce cotton, because cotton needs a particular climate to grow.

The cotton we use comes from the largest producing countries such as India in particular. Linen, on the other hand, is a very cultivated material in France because this fiber does not like strong heat and lack of water. The flax used in our productions is therefore harvested in France, in the area stretching from Normandy to Belgium.

If we happen to opt for synthetic fibers, it is because they add value to the finished product and because we have not been able to substitute them for natural fibers. However, our synthetic materials remain minority in the composition of our products and are always made from 100% recycled fibres. This is the case for our GRS-certified polyester, and our artificial fibers from forests such as Lyocell and bamboo viscose, which are also certified by the FSC® label.

Yes, for the stuffing of certain pieces of bedding such as our 100% natural duvet or our 100% natural pillows. Our workshop in the South West of France uses 100% French duck down and feathers. This down comes exclusively from the finishing industries. Our duvets and pillows are also available in an eco-responsible synthetic version.

Our fabric scraps are reused in the automotive and insulation industries and are even directly re-transformed into fibers to be reused in the production of the textile industry. This part is managed by our partner, We Turn. Thanks to these production stocks, We Turn recreates yarns and materials that it markets to young designers or established brands for their recycled fabric collections.

We can always transform our defects into qualities: it is for this reason that in the event of a manufacturing defect, our parts are sorted and then redistributed. If it is a minor defect (a slightly different color, a small seam that does not fit, etc.), our parts are distributed to Emmaüs. In the event of larger defects, these are put back into the circuit for recycling. Our products returned for a size error, for example, are carefully cleaned and repackaged to be put back on sale.

Are your cupboards overflowing? Send us your old sheets (Good evening or not!) and we will send them back to our partner Tizu, manufacturer of upcycled furniture. Who would have thought that your old duvet cover would turn into the prettiest stool? And to reward your good deed, we offer you a 10% discount on your next order. To find out more, it's here !

For now, we only offer the recycling of your old sheets. But we intend to go further with the recycling of your towels. We had just offered to send them back to us in the spring of 2022 in order to offer you a new product: the very first 100% recycled towel ! We would love to do it again…stay tuned ;-)

All our articles are transported upstream via road transport in the vast majority or by sea for the reception of our cotton fabrics. Our trucks are always filled to the maximum in order to limit empty transport. The finished products of our collections are never sent by air.
