Because you can't always get a full 8am good night's sleep, here are some practical tips to make believe you have a good night's sleep.
Because you can't always get a full 8am good night's sleep, whether it's because of work, the kids, or the last season of your show keeping you up all night...
And because we can't press "snooze" all day and we'll have to get out of our cozy bed linen eventually, here are some practical and easy-to-apply tips to make people believe in a good night's sleep.
1. An energizing breakfast
For an energizing breakfast, stock up on protein, fiber and vitamins. If you're not hungry, don't force yourself and eat a small, easily digestible fruit when you feel peckish.
2. Expose yourself to light
One of the best remedies to get you out of the morning lethargy is to take a good light bath! If you are not lucky enough to be able to have your coffee on your sunny terrace, the blue light from the screens can paradoxically be a good alternative. Indeed, it imitates the morning light rather well. It is for this reason that it is often not recommended before going to bed.
3. A good invigorating shower
For those who are not afraid of the cold shower, this remains the best way to wake up after a short night's sleep. Otherwise, we simply avoid the boiling shower which will relax you (or put you to sleep) instead of energizing you.
For the sleepier ones, place two scoops in the freezer before jumping in the shower and use them once cool under your eyes to depuff dark circles.
4. Stay hydrated
Inside and out, remember to stay hydrated. Who says bad night says bad mine, scrambled skin and greyish complexion.
Nothing better than staying hydrated throughout the day (coffee doesn't count! We prefer water or tea.). Add to that a good moisturizer in the morning and you're done!
5. Stay active
Being active throughout the day helps you stay awake. Physical effort releases endorphins which have – among other things, an anti-fatigue effect. Do not hesitate to go to the office on foot or by bike. If you are in a hurry, 5 minutes of quick exercises at home will be enough to boost you.
6. A good cup of coffee or green tea
Nothing better than a little boost to boost your difficult mornings. For coffee lovers, a good cup out of bed will give you a good boost of energy. If you don't like coffee, a good cup of tea will do.
7. A big smile!
Nothing better than a beautiful smile to illuminate the face! Because a smile is the most beautiful makeup a woman (or a man) can wear.
