The school bell rang! Sometimes synonymous with the first big change in the daily life of the child and the parents, the start of the school year is an important time of the year to prepare carefully. Here are our tips for living the big day without stress and in a good mood :)
01. Learn to be independent

Make sure your little one is already able to go to the toilet independently, get dressed and wash their hands. If the gestures are not yet mastered, practice it in a fun way during the holidays a little every day in the bathroom . If he is not completely self-sufficient when it comes to cleanliness, consider putting a spare outfit in a bag; you can also reuse the one in which our sets are delivered, or directly in his school bag.
02. Prepare him for his new environment
Communication must not be neglected so that your child experiences this change as best as possible. Before the start of the school year, enthusiastically explain to him what school is, why he should go there and what he will do there with his days. Even better, don't hesitate to take a tour of the future school during the summer if possible. Your little one will be able to familiarize themselves with their new environment!
03. Understand worries

Before the start of the school year, when you go to bed comfortably in his cozy little bed , take the time to read him the story of his favorite character who is also returning to school. This will allow him to better understand this famous day that is approaching. If he has any doubts or fears, answer every question he asks honestly.
04. Involve him in the preparations

Involve your little one in preparations for back to school by doing simple tasks. He can prepare his outfit, choose his schoolbag and slip in his little snack for recess. And since a good day begins with a good night's sleep, prepare a nice bed with him with his favorite clean sheets , and lend an attentive ear if he needs to confide or be reassured.
05. Manage your stress too
This day may be difficult for you too. Your mini is no longer so small. But keep your tears to yourself. You risk worrying him by seeing you sad. So always think positive, it's a great day where your child will be able to flourish and socialize for their greatest happiness!
06. D-day
It's finally back to school day. Organize a gentle awakening. Put him in a little bathrobe and have breakfast together. But to avoid any stress, be punctual and accompany him on the big day. Remember to remind him that you will come back to pick him up at the end of the day, so don't worry! After a last kiss, don't wait too long, he's in good hands.
